Great for kids
I bought all 3 of my kids one of these backpacks. at first I wasnt sure about it cuz its mesh and for some reason I thought only the front pocket was mesh - oh well.

so far so good its really durable and has held up well. theres not a whole lot of organizing pockets etc. but it still holds quite a lot.

my kids can stuff their snow gear in here no problem without it bursting to the seams.

so for me its good.

note - my kids are 5 4 and 4 and it still works great for them. :2010-09-16 05:48:14

good for wet summer swim suits and water shoes
Its pretty sturdy. Its kind of too long for a six year old. However the upside is that everything for summer day camp fits right in. You can toss stuff in without thought. No need to tightly squeeze stuff in and conserve space. Lets face it 6 year olds do not pack things efficiently. :2010-09-16 05:48:14

sturdy and comfortable
My daughter needed a mesh back pack for school and we bought the Jansport in scarlet. It is a bit large for my second grader who just turned 7 but not so overwhelming that she cant handle it. It is probably the standard size for an adult back pack.
The mesh is thick and sturdy--unlike others we bought and lasted less than a year before wearing out on the bottom and it is roomy for books and folders. It has a front pocket in the same mesh material. but it also has a small inside pocket in a solid canvas sort of material that is handy for small items or pointy pencils that could hurt someone poking out of the mesh pocket.
The straps have plenty of padding for comfort when carrying a full load.
I love Jansport--still have a back pack of theirs that I carried in college (15 years ago) and it is still in perfect condition. I did not hesitate in ordering this back pack and do not regret it--this is a plain but durable and comfortable pack. :2010-09-16 05:48:14

Great for school see-thru bag requirement
I bought two of these for both my high schoolers one in purple and one in black. So far theyre great. Theyre spacious enough to comfortably hold a 3"binder a 2" binder 2 textbooks three notebooks/ comp books a lunch sack and still have room to spare. Ive always relied on Jansport bags to be sturdy and last several years. Surely because these are mesh bags they wont last as long as Jansports regular bags but Im sure theyll last longer than any other brand mesh bag available here. ...Only hitch was that my daughter was a little disappointed that her electric purple bag wasnt more blue as stated by a previous reviewer. Hers was not blue at all. Fortunately its not a pinkish purple nor a light purple/ lavender so shes fine with it. Its much like the purple on the Minnesota Vikings alternate uniform. :2010-09-16 05:48:14
